5th Annual Recovery Run

Clean and sober motorcycle ride followed by food, fellowship and door prizes. Come and help us celebrate recovery. You do not have to ride a motorcycle to join us.

Annual Ride for Recovery

This is a bicycle ride for the entire family using the bike paths in Marshalltown. We'll begin with a moment of remembrance for the 9/11 anniversary, a guest speaker, Fauna Nord, and then ride approximately 10 miles. We begin at Riverview Park where the bike trail starts and ride to Mega 10 park where we stop for water and snacks. We then turn back and complete our journey where we started. For those who would enjoy a longer ride, there is the option of riding the bike path further.

Alumni September Fest

Our 15th annual day of recovery celebration will have activities for adults and children, an afternoon picnic, music by Bill T., an old timer's meeting, a campfire meeting in the evening and a full day of fellowship. The event is open to recovering people and their friends and families from our bi-state area.

Iowa Celebrates Recovery Month with Adventureland Event

On September 18, 2011, Adventureland Amusement Park in Altoona will be the site for this year’s statewide Recovery Month event that celebrates the hard work of individuals and their families in recovery. Those in attendance can enjoy a fun day of rides, shows and attractions -- with a special presentation at 1:00 p.m. by notable guests. In addition, each participant who attends the special presentation will receive Adventureland Fun Money that can be used to purchase refreshments in the park.

FREE TICKETS: A limited number of free tickets are available for individuals in recovery and for their spouses and children or, if age 18 or younger, for their parents. To request free tickets, interested licensed treatment programs must complete the information form attached and email or fax their ticket request to Training Resources at fax (515) 309-3317 or rhonda@trainingresources.org by August 1, 2011.

2nd Annual Northwest Iowa Recovery Walk and Celebration

The 2nd Annual Recovery Walk and Celebration will honor individuals, their families and organizations that support prevention, treatment, and substance abuse recovery. The walk is to raise community awareness about substance abuse recovery, and provide resources surrounding addiction. The celebration at Leach Park features National Ally to Recovery Efforts keynote speaker, Dr. Nicholas Taylor, live music by Grindstone, food, and children's activities by Positively Spencer Youth.
