I have now been clean and sober for 4 years I had my first drink at the age of 5 from my stepfather Jerry. It made me easier to handle while he molested me. He was a musician and had parties every weekend and I was aware of the pills and pot being used at those parties. my mother did not like it but being an abused woman there was nothing she could do about it. I did my first drug at the age of 11. It was pot, quickly followed by kj which was an animal tranquilizer. Then came the speed, by 13 I was in to crosstops, black beauty's, pink hearts, upjohns, and of course let's don't forget the downers amutal, nebutal, plasadil, qualudes, valuim. By age 17 I was into methamphetamine. I only quit that 4 years ago. I'm now 45. I started manufacturing at 18 in California. The heroin didn't come in till I was about 23 and that came with cocaine. I began mixing them all together. Then it began to be what ever was the easiest to get at the time. I started trying to get clean in 1993 by getting on a methadone program but even that didn't work. I began going to prison in 1996 for prostitution and possession. I ended up in prison 3 times before I found Jesus Christ. When I was released I found a church named the Harvest Vineyard Church in downtown Waterloo Iowa. I have now been clean and sober for 4 years. I attend Christ based step classes and topic classes. I am a facilitator of a MOMs OFF Meth group.
