I am a grateful recovering addict

Hello!  I'm Kelly and I am a grateful recovering addict. I'm proud to say today, (9/13/04) is my 14 months clean & serene anniversary! I first started using when I was 14 years old, and after 22 arrests,(5 OWI's, several possessions of controlled substances, schedule I&II, carrying weapons), and by the Grace of God narrowly missing becoming a convicted felon, it occurred to me that my life was unmanageable. After a feeble attempt at recovery in '86, I chose again to see if I could use successfully.  At 41 years of age, with the program of Narcotics Anonymous, a wonderful sponsor, and a loving Higher Power I have learned not only do I suffer from addiction, but by His Grace & my efforts, I don't have to die in my addiction.
